Position:
Hourly, contract position with a minimum of 15 hours/week, but increased hours at peak times will be required.
A combination of in-office and work-from-home hours. $22-$25/hour and based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Administration
o Assist the Fund Development and Communications Officer with all campaigns, events and communication strategies that engage community, drive donations and build our brand through storytelling
o Utilize donor management software to build fundraising and marketing reports (DonorPerfect)
o Assist with budgeting and department financial reporting
o Assist with committee administration
Communications
o Social Media Content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn): Content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring and engagement, analyzing performance
o Website Maintenance (Squarespace): keeping the organizational website up-to-date and ensuring accuracy o Email Marketing including managing subscriber lists, drafting content, managing email marketing calendar
o Editing and writing content for marketing material production
o Contribute to storytelling that highlights the impact of community giving
o Distribute media releases on behalf of Managers
o Assist with research, interviews, photos and written content for future communication materials
Fundraising & Event Management
o Begin to build relationships with donors and staff at the hospital and health units o Assist with planning staff & community events
o Assist with the coordination of community event activities on behalf of the Foundation in Nanton and High River area
o Annual Fundraising Dinner & Auction Event ▪ Support manager with pricing quotes, budget tracking, committee meetings, event promotions, etc. ▪ Attend committee meetings ▪ Promote sponsorships and prize donations
o Event material inventory and organizing storage areas Community Relations
o A positive and caring ambassador of health care within the community
o Attending events in High River and Nanton to promote the Foundation and the Hospital
Skills & Attributes:
• Some experience in fundraising, communications, non-profit or community relations is a definite asset
• Experience or confidence to become a specialist with software programs such as Squarespace, Canva, DonorPerfect and Constant Contact
• Independent and comfortable working from home, as well as in our office in High River
• Comfortable with public presentations and marketing events to increase community awareness
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Excellent initiative and ability to work as a team player
• Class 5 license and access to a vehicle – local travel required for events and meetings
